Island Monarch, Monarcha cinerascens, is a bird of the Monarchidae family that breeds across Australasia, mainly on islets from the Sulawesi region and the Lesser Sundas through the Bismarck Archipelago to the northern Solomon Islands. It occurs in moist lowland forest and moist montane forest in tropical and subtropical areas. The species was first placed in Drymophila, and it is also known by several other names, including grey-headed monarch and islet monarch. Its recognised forms are spread across islands in this broad range.
