Island Scrub Jay, Aphelocoma insularis, is a passerine in the crow family that breeds on Santa Cruz Island in California. It was first described by Henshaw in 1886. Endemic to this island, it is the only landbird in the continental United States and Canada confined to a single island. It lives in oak chaparral and bishop pine woodland. Compared with the mainland California scrub jay, it is larger, more brightly coloured and has a much heavier bill. It also stores acorns for later use.
