Moho nobilis
The ʻŌʻō, or Moho nobilis, was a species of bird native to the Hawaiian islands. It was a member of the honeyeater family and was known for its striking black and yellow plumage. The ʻŌʻō was a medium-sized bird with a distinctive curved bill and a melodious song. Sadly, the species is now considered extinct, with the last confirmed sighting in 1985. Habitat loss, introduced species, and disease are believed to have contributed to its decline.
