Jackson's Apalis is a small, insect-eating bird found in the montane forests of East Africa. It has a distinctive black and white plumage with a yellow patch on its throat. This species is known for its melodious and repetitive song, often heard in the dense undergrowth of its habitat. Jackson's Apalis is an adept forager, often seen hopping and flitting through the foliage in search of small insects and larvae. It is a social bird, often found in small groups or mixed-species flocks. Despite its relatively restricted range, the Jackson's Apalis is not currently considered to be at risk of extinction.
