Aratinga jandaya
The Jandaya Parakeet, also known as the Jenday Conure, is a strikingly colorful parrot native to northeastern Brazil. These medium-sized parakeets are known for their vibrant plumage, which includes bright yellow, orange, and green feathers. They are highly social birds and often form large flocks in their natural habitat. Jandaya Parakeets are typically found in semi-open woodland areas and savannas, where they forage for fruits, seeds, and nuts. Unfortunately, habitat loss and capture for the pet trade have led to population declines in some areas, and they are listed as Near Threatened by the IUCN.
