The Japanese Green Pheasant, also known as Soemmerring's Pheasant, is a species of pheasant native to Japan. These pheasants inhabit a variety of forested and agricultural areas, including grasslands, woodlands, and farmlands. They are primarily ground-dwelling birds, foraging for seeds, insects, and small invertebrates. The Japanese Green Pheasant is considered a species of Least Concern by the IUCN, with stable populations in its native range.
