Javan Fulvetta, Alcippe pyrrhoptera, is a bird of the montane forests of western and central Java in Indonesia. It belongs to the family Leiothrichidae and is part of the passerine order. Endemic to Indonesia, it is confined to this island setting. The species is treated as monotypic, with no recognised subspecies. Described by Bonaparte in 1850, it is one of the laughingthrushes and allies found in the Oriental Region.
