Javan Woodcock, Scolopax saturata, is a bird of montane Sumatra and western Java in the family Scolopacidae. It was first described by Horsfield in 1821. This species is tied to moist mountain forest, usually between 1,500 and 3,000 m, and it is also noted from swampy montane forest with bracken and moss. It is a small, dark woodcock with a long bill, and its back is patterned. It is placed in the order Charadriiformes.
