The Jobi Manucode (Pampusana jobiensis) is a species of bird in the Paradisaeidae family, endemic to the island of New Guinea. It is known for its striking iridescent plumage and elaborate courtship displays. The male Jobi Manucode has glossy black plumage with metallic green and purple iridescence, while the female is predominantly brown. These birds inhabit lowland rainforests and are often found in the canopy, where they feed on fruits, insects, and small vertebrates. The Jobi Manucode is known for its vocalizations, including a variety of calls and mimicry of other bird species. Despite habitat loss and hunting pressure, its conservation status is currently assessed as Least Concern by the IUCN.
