Jonquil Parrot, Aprosmictus jonquillaceus, is a bird of the Psittaculidae family found in Australasia on Rote, Timor and Wetar in the Lesser Sundas. It is a parrot with a restricted range, and it was described by Vieillot in 1818. In the wild it occurs in forest, woodland and acacia savanna, usually alone or in small groups of three to five. It has a distinctive wing patch, red in males and yellow in females, and the young resemble females but do not yet show that marking.
