Jouanin's Petrel

Jouanin's Petrel, Bulweria fallax, is a seabird of the Procellariidae family in the Indian Ocean, breeding on Socotra and possibly in Oman. Outside the breeding season it occurs mainly in the north-western Indian Ocean, including the gulfs of Aden and Oman, and has also been recorded in waters off Seychelles and the Mascarenes, south-west India, Ashmore Reef and the coasts of eastern and north-eastern Africa. It was described by Jouanin in 1955.
