Juan Fernandez Firecrown, Sephanoides fernandensis, is a hummingbird of the Juan Fernandez Archipelago in South America, where it is confined to Isla Róbinson Crusoe in Chile. It belongs to the family Trochilidae and was described by King in 1831. It is notable for the strong difference between the sexes, with male and female plumage so unlike that they were once taken for separate species. The bird lives in forests, thickets and gardens, and breeding records come from 120 to 660 m above sea level.
