Jungle Myna, Acridotheres fuscus, is a starling of the Oriental Region, widespread across the mainland of the Indian Subcontinent. It is also established in Fiji, Taiwan, the Andaman Islands and parts of Japan, and has reached some Pacific islands on its own. Its most obvious feature is a tuft of feathers on the forehead that forms a frontal crest. The eyes vary between pale, yellow and blue according to population, and the bill is orange-yellow with a dark base. It is absent from the arid parts of India.
