Kaempfer's Tody-Tyrant

Hemitriccus kaempferi

Kaempfer's Tody-Tyrant (Hemitriccus kaempferi) is a small and elusive bird found in the Atlantic Forest of Brazil. It is known for its distinctive high-pitched calls and active foraging behavior. This species has a predominantly olive-green plumage with a yellowish belly and a rufous crown. It has a short bill and a relatively long tail. Kaempfer's Tody-Tyrant primarily feeds on insects and is often observed in the understory of dense forests, where it flits and hovers while searching for prey.
