Kauai Amakihi, Chlorodrepanis stejnegeri, is a Hawaiian honeycreeper found only on Kauaʻi in the Hawaiian Islands. It lives mainly in the island’s higher mountain country, usually above 600 metres, and is often seen in ʻōhiʻa and koa woodland, especially in ʻōhiʻa forest. Its bill is long, strongly curved and sickle-like, a feature reflected in its Hawaiian name. It is also similar in appearance to the extinct Kauaʻi nukupuʻu. When it flies or feeds, it gives a distinctive tweet.
