The Kawall's Amazon, also known as Kawall's parrot, is a species of parrot native to the Amazon rainforest in Brazil. These medium-sized parrots are known for their vibrant plumage and distinctive vocalizations. They have a primarily green plumage with red on the forehead, lores, and thighs. These social birds are often found in flocks and are known for their playful and curious nature. They feed on a variety of fruits, seeds, and nuts, and are important seed dispersers in their habitat. Unfortunately, habitat loss and capture for the pet trade have led to population declines, making them vulnerable to extinction.
