Kinabalu Chloropsis

Chloropsis kinabaluensis

The Kinabalu Chloropsis (Chloropsis kinabaluensis) is a small passerine bird found in the montane forests of Borneo. It has a distinctive bright green plumage with a yellow throat and a black mask around its eyes. This species is known for its melodious and varied song, often heard in the early morning. The Kinabalu Chloropsis forages for insects and fruits in the upper canopy of the forest. It is an important seed disperser for many plant species. Due to habitat loss and fragmentation, the Kinabalu Chloropsis is facing increasing threats to its population.
