Vini kuhlii
Kuhl's Lorikeet (Vini kuhlii) is a small parrot species native to the islands of the South Pacific. These vibrant birds are known for their striking plumage, which features a combination of bright green, red, and blue feathers. They are highly social and often form large flocks, displaying remarkable agility and acrobatic flight patterns. Kuhl's Lorikeets primarily feed on nectar, pollen, and fruits, using their specialized brush-tipped tongues to extract nectar from flowers. Their habitats include tropical and subtropical forests, as well as coconut plantations and cultivated areas. Due to habitat loss and trapping for the pet trade, their conservation status is currently listed as Vulnerable by the IUCN.
