The Large-billed Gerygone, scientifically known as Gerygone magnirostris, is a small passerine bird native to Australia and New Guinea. It is characterized by its olive-brown upperparts, pale underparts, and a distinctive large bill. This species is known for its melodious and varied song, often heard in the dense foliage of its forest habitat. Large-billed Gerygones are primarily insectivorous, foraging in the upper canopy and mid-strata of the forest. They are known to construct intricate, cup-shaped nests using spider webbing and plant material. While the population trend is not well-documented, the species is generally considered to be of Least Concern according to the IUCN Red List.
