Large-billed Leaf Warbler

Phylloscopus magnirostris

The Large-billed Leaf Warbler is a small, insectivorous bird found in the Himalayas and parts of Southeast Asia. It is known for its distinctive song, which is often heard in the dense undergrowth of its forest habitat. This warbler has olive-green upperparts, a pale yellow underside, and a prominent white eye-ring. It forages actively in the foliage, gleaning insects from leaves and branches. The species is known for its long migration, traveling from its breeding grounds in the Himalayas to its wintering grounds in Southeast Asia. Despite facing threats from habitat loss, the Large-billed Leaf Warbler is currently not listed under any specific conservation status.
