Large-footed Tapaculo, Scytalopus macropus, is a bird of the tapaculo family found in Peru, where it is confined to the central Andes. It was described by Berlepsch and Stolzmann in 1896 and remains the only member of its type. It lives in mossy growth beside streams in elfin forest and cloud forest, from southern Amazonas Department to Junín Department. The adult is uniformly very dark grey, while the young is paler but still dark grey, with dark brown on the upperparts and buff or off-white on the underparts.
