Treron capellei (Temminck, 1822)

Large Green Pigeon, Treron capellei, is a pigeon of the Oriental Region, breeding in the Malay Peninsula and the Greater Sundas. It belongs to the Columbidae family and was described by Temminck in 1822. It lives in moist lowland forest, including primary and secondary evergreen rainforest, and is usually found in lowland areas, though it can occur in foothills up to 1,500 metres. Its range includes Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar and Thailand. The main pressure on the species is the loss of its forest habitat.
