Large Ground Finch, Geospiza magnirostris, is a passerine in the tanager family that breeds in the Galápagos of South America. It was described by Gould in 1837. It is the largest of Darwin’s finches, and its bill is also the biggest among them. The species is found across the arid parts of much of the archipelago, but not on Floreana, Española, San Cristóbal or Santa Fé. It is a ground-foraging bird that keeps a small territory and nests in cacti or bushes.
