Large Scrubwren, Sericornis nouhuysi, is a passerine of montane New Guinea in Australasia, where it lives in moist mountain forest. It belongs in the Australasian warbler family Acanthizidae. First described by van Oort in 1909, it was once placed with a different family, but that arrangement is no longer accepted. The species is associated with New Guinea’s upland regions, and its range is centred on montane areas across the island.
