Copsychus omissus (Hartert, EJO, 1902)
Muscicapidae — Chats, Old World Flycatchers
Larwo Shama, Copsychus omissus, is a passerine bird of the Muscicapidae family that breeds in Java, where it occurs in central and eastern parts of the island. It was first described in 1902 by Hartert. The species was once treated as part of the white-rumped shama, but is now recognised separately. Two subspecies are accepted, one from central Java and one from east Java. There is very little difference in appearance between them. Both subspecies are now very rare.
