Lawrence's Thrush

Lawrence's Thrush (Turdus lawrencii) is a medium-sized songbird found in the highland forests of Central America. This species is known for its melodious and flute-like song, often heard in the early morning and late afternoon. Lawrence's Thrush has a distinctive olive-brown upper plumage, a creamy white underbelly, and a striking orange beak. It forages for insects, small fruits, and berries in the dense undergrowth of montane forests, where it builds cup-shaped nests to rear its young. While not currently classified by the IUCN, this species may face threats from habitat loss and climate change.
