Lazuli Bunting, Passerina amoena, is a North American songbird that breeds across south-western and central Canada, the western USA, and extreme north-west Mexico, and spends the non-breeding season in western Mexico. It is a member of the Cardinalidae. The male is marked by a blue head and back, white wingbars, and a rusty breast with a white belly. The female is brown, with greyer upperparts and warmer underparts, and has two pale wingbars. Its breeding places are brushy, often well-watered areas, sometimes including towns.
