Least Auklet, Aethia pusilla, is a seabird of the North Pacific, breeding patchily from eastern Chukotka and north-east Kamchatka through the Sea of Okhotsk, the Kuril and Commander Islands, and the Bering Sea islands and Aleutian Islands. Outside the breeding season it is pelagic across the North Pacific, reaching the northern Sea of Japan and western British Columbia. It is the smallest auk, and it nests in colonies on islands, often in rocky crevices. Its breeding sites include the Aleutians, St. Lawrence Island and Little Diomede Island.
