The Lemon-bellied White-eye (Phyllastrephus hypochloris) is a small passerine bird found in the forests and woodlands of eastern Africa. This species is characterized by its olive-green upperparts, lemon-yellow underparts, and a distinctive white eye-ring. It forages for insects and small fruits in the canopy and mid-levels of trees, often moving in small, active flocks. The Lemon-bellied White-eye is known for its melodious and varied song, which it uses to communicate with other members of its species. Although not currently considered threatened, habitat loss and degradation are potential threats to its populations.
