Pachysylvia decurtata (Bonaparte, 1838)

Lesser Greenlet, Pachysylvia decurtata, is a passerine of the Vireonidae family that breeds from eastern Mexico through Middle America to north-west Peru. It was first described in 1838. It is found across Mexico, Central America, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru, and lives in tropical evergreen and deciduous forest, gallery forest and secondary growth. It is a year-round resident. The species has six recognised subspecies, and the grey-headed form once treated separately is now included within it. Its range extends from sea level to 1,500 m, depending on the country.
