Paradisaeidae — Birds-of-paradise
Lesser Lophorina, Lophorina minor, is a passerine bird of paradise found in montane south-eastern New Guinea, in the Wharton and Owen Stanley Ranges on the Papuan Peninsula of Papua New Guinea. It belongs to the family Paradisaeidae and was described by Ramsay, EP, in 1885. It was once treated as a subspecies of the superb bird-of-paradise, but was recognised as a full species in 2017.
