Lesser Necklaced Laughingthrush, Garrulax monileger, is a bird of the Leiothrichidae family found in the Oriental Region from the Himalayas to south-east China and south-east Thailand. It was described by Hodgson in 1836. Its breeding range covers the eastern Himalayas, southern China and Indochina. It is placed among the laughingthrushes and allies in the order Passeriformes. The species has been noted as a possible mimic of the Greater Necklaced Laughingthrush, which is dominant in mixed-species flocks.
