Lesser Nothura, Nothura minor, is a tinamou in the family Tinamidae. It lives in dry grassland in tropical parts of south-eastern Brazil, and it is also recorded from dry shrubland and savanna. Its known breeding range in the IOC list is South America: se Brazil. The species is monotypic. It is found at altitudes from 200 to 1,000 m. The bird has also been noted in a recently burned grassland area, though the text says it does not seem to favour such places.
