Lesser Racket-tailed Drongo

Dicrurus remifer (Temminck, 1823)

Lesser Racket-tailed Drongo, Dicrurus remifer, is a bird of the Oriental Region, with a breeding range that runs through the Himalayas from north-west India to southern China, and on to Vietnam, the Malay Peninsula, Sumatra and west Java. It belongs to the drongo family, Dicruridae. It is associated with subtropical and tropical moist montane forest, both along the edges and within the woodland. It can be told from the greater racket-tailed drongo by the lack of a head crest and by its square-ended tail.
