Cranioleuca antisiensis
The Line-cheeked Spinetail (Cranioleuca antisiensis) is a small, slender bird found in the Andes of South America. It has a distinctive line pattern on its cheeks, and its upperparts are brown with a rufous crown. This species is known for its active foraging behavior, often seen hopping and flitting through dense vegetation in search of insects and small invertebrates. It also emits a high-pitched, insect-like trill. The Line-cheeked Spinetail primarily inhabits montane forests and shrubby areas, typically at elevations between 2,000 and 3,500 meters. Although not globally threatened, its population may be declining due to habitat loss.
