The Little Auk, also known as the Dovekie, is a small seabird in the auk family. It is approximately 20 cm in length and has a black and white plumage, with a distinctive white patch on its upperwing. Little Auks breed in the high Arctic and spend the winter at sea, often in large flocks. They are excellent divers and primarily feed on small fish and zooplankton. These birds are well adapted to life in cold, harsh environments and are known for their rapid wing beats and agility in flight.
