Little Bunting

Emberiza pusilla

The Little Bunting is a small migratory bird found in Asia and Europe. It is known for its distinctive chestnut and black head pattern, with a streaked brown back and pale underparts. This species prefers breeding in damp coniferous forests and taiga habitats, often near water. During migration, it can be found in open woodlands, marshes, and grasslands. The Little Bunting feeds on seeds, insects, and berries, foraging on the ground and in low vegetation. Its population is considered stable, and it is not currently at risk of extinction.
