The Little Buttonquail (Turnix nanus) is a small ground-dwelling bird found in Australia and New Guinea. The Little Buttonquail is characterized by its short, rounded wings and a distinctive call that resembles a mechanical clicking noise. Despite its small size, this bird is an adept flier and can cover considerable distances when necessary. The conservation status of the Little Buttonquail is currently listed as Least Concern by the IUCN.
