Little Crow

Corvus bennetti North, 1901

Little Crow, Corvus bennetti, is a crow of Australia, breeding across most of the country except the north, the far south and Tasmania. It is a member of the Corvidae and was described by North in 1901. It is close to the Torresian crow, but is slightly smaller and has a smaller bill. When the feathers are ruffled in strong wind, the pale bases of the neck and head feathers can be seen. It also has a white iris, and a blue ring around the pupil.
