Little Crow

Corvus mellori

The Little Crow (Corvus mellori) is a small to medium-sized bird found in Australia. It is known for its glossy black plumage and distinctive cawing call. Little Crows are highly adaptable and can be found in a variety of habitats including woodlands, farmlands, and urban areas. They are opportunistic feeders, consuming a wide range of foods including insects, fruits, and carrion. Little Crows are social birds, often forming large flocks, and are known for their intelligence and problem-solving abilities. While their populations are currently stable, habitat loss and urbanization pose potential threats to their future survival.
