Little Forktail, Enicurus scouleri, is a bird of mountain streams, waterfalls and shaded forest pools across the Himalayas to eastern China, north-west Vietnam and Taiwan. It breeds in the Oriental Region and is placed in the family Muscicapidae. The sexes are alike. It has black upperparts with a white forehead, a white wing band that runs on to the lower back, a small black patch on the rump, a short slightly forked tail with white outer feathers, a black throat and white underparts. The name honours Dr John Scouler of Glasgow.
