Little Green Sunbird

Cinnyris minullus

The Little Green Sunbird (Cinnyris minullus) is a small, vibrant bird found in the woodlands and savannas of sub-Saharan Africa. This species is known for its iridescent green plumage, which is particularly striking in the sunlight. Little Green Sunbirds are nectar feeders and can often be seen flitting among flowers in search of food. They are also known to feed on insects and spiders. These agile birds are highly territorial and will defend their feeding and nesting areas vigorously. The female builds a small, cup-shaped nest using plant fibers and spider silk. The conservation status of the Little Green Sunbird is currently listed as Least Concern by the IUCN.
