Little Ground Tyrant

Little Ground Tyrant, Syrtidicola fluviatilis, is a passerine of south-west Amazonia in South America, where it is a bird of sandy river margins and nearby open ground. It is the only species in its genus. The sexes look alike. Adults show a pale buff line over the eye and lores, with a greyish sandy brown head and upperparts, dusky wings, a black tail with white outer webs on the outer feathers, and buffy white underparts. It is mainly terrestrial and is found in Peru, Brazil and Bolivia, with records also from Ecuador and possibly Colombia.
