Little Wood Rail, Aramides mangle, is a rail of eastern Brazil in the family Rallidae. It breeds in the country’s coastal belt and also reaches inland in the north-east. It is the only species in its genus. This bird is the smallest Aramides, and the sexes look the same. Adults have a grey head, neck and upper back, with olive-brown to greenish-olive wings and back, black rump, tail and undertail coverts, a white throat, and rufous underparts. Its bill is greenish with red at the base of the upper mandible, and its legs and feet are red.
