Cincloramphus llaneae
Llanea's Scrubwren (Cincloramphus llaneae) is a small, secretive bird species found in the dense undergrowth of wet forests and scrublands in eastern Australia. With a distinct white eyebrow and mottled brown plumage, this bird forages for insects and small invertebrates on or near the ground. It is known for its rapid and skulking movements, making it challenging to spot despite its vocal nature. Llanea's Scrubwren builds dome-shaped nests from grass and twigs, often placed low in dense vegetation. While not currently considered threatened, habitat loss and degradation pose potential risks to its populations.
