Long-bearded Honeyeater, Melionyx princeps, is a honeyeater of high montane eastern New Guinea in Australasia. It occurs in the family Meliphagidae and was described by Mayr and Gilliard in 1951. The bird is known for its wispy white beard, which sets it apart from similar sooty honeyeaters. It was once placed in Melidectes, but a 2019 molecular study led to its return to Melionyx and to the adoption of its present English name.
