Long-billed Partridge, Rhizothera longirostris, is a bird of the Malay Peninsula, Sumatra and Borneo in the Oriental Region. It belongs to the pheasant family and was described by Temminck in 1815. Its breeding range covers those three areas. The species has two recognised subspecies. The nominate form is fairly widespread, while dulitensis is confined to the mountains of central Borneo and is sometimes treated as a separate species, the Dulit Partridge or Hose’s Partridge.
