Long-tailed Ground Dove

The Long-tailed Ground Dove (Uropelia campestris) is a small, ground-dwelling dove found in South America. It is characterized by its long tail, which is distinctive in flight. This species is typically found in open savannas, grasslands, and agricultural areas. Long-tailed Ground Doves feed on seeds and grains, foraging on the ground in small flocks. They are relatively inconspicuous and often difficult to spot due to their cryptic plumage. The conservation status of the Long-tailed Ground Dove is currently listed as Least Concern by the IUCN.
