Long-tailed Minivet

Coracina larutensis

The Long-tailed Minivet is a small, colorful bird found in the forests of Southeast Asia. It has a distinctive combination of black, yellow, and gray plumage, with males displaying brighter colors than females. These birds are known for their melodious calls and agile flight patterns as they forage for insects in the forest canopy. Long-tailed Minivets are often seen in small groups or pairs, and they are known to be territorial during the breeding season. Although not currently considered threatened, habitat loss and fragmentation pose potential risks to their populations.
