Long-tailed Mockingbird, Mimus longicaudatus, is a bird of Ecuador and Peru in the family Mimidae. It breeds across South America in those two countries, mainly along the Pacific coast, with one inland form in north-western Peru. It is a long-tailed species with a broad white supercilium, a dark line through the eye, and a black patch on the cheek. The wings and tail are dusky brown with white areas that stand out in flight. It uses coastal scrub, dry woodland, hedges, tree groves, gardens and parks.
